Community Recycling Centre Design

Some of recent work modelled conceptually. Stage 2 upgrades are underway at Byron Resource Recovery Centre to improve the public drop-off area. The project involved the inclusion of an innovative ‘Contained Waste’ drop-off bay system which will make it easier for customers and staff to sort the items that can be recycled and divert rubbish from landfill. In maintaining Byron Shire Councils commitment to sustainability, the pavement design includes recycled glass collected from kerbside recycling bins as well as using a recycled asphalt. GreenTec has been involved in the all stages of this project including concept design (below) through to detailed design and construction supervision.
